This comprehensive review of violence risk assessment was developed by participating forensic psychiatrists across Canada who routinely conduct a variety of forensic assessments, and is intended to provide practice guidelines for mental health professionals who conduct risk assessments in a variety of settings. The purpose and types of risk assessments are described, sources of data and interview strategies. The WAVR-21 V3 is mentioned as a tool that “can assist in determining risk and risk management” for workplace and campus assessments of threats and violence.
